Local Fastener Company supplying NHS and Farmers
Arun Fasteners, a fastener wholesale company based in Ford nr Arundel, West Sussex, has remained open during the Covid 19 pandemic. Classed as one of the retailers still able to operate, they have furloughed their staff, and the family business is now run solely by owner Chris White.
Measures have been introduced to ensure zero customer interaction, instead all orders are by phone or email, relying on next day delivery services.
With 80% of their customer based closed, they have been surprised by the volume of calls from buyers across the UK struggling to find fasteners, particularly within agriculture.
They are receiving daily requests from local farmers and those further afield in need of bolts to repair tractors and other key machinery. As farmers work around the clock to ensure that fresh produce is making it to supermarkets as quickly as possible, to meet the demand of a population that is now largely reliant on home cooking, farmers are needing to make repairs quickly to enable them to continue the essential work they are doing. Arun Fasteners is proud to be part of that effort.
One local customer manufacture and supply into the NHS. Their demand has been driven up by the pandemic and Arun Fasteners has become a key supplier, enabling their products to be supplied directly into the NHS Covid19 response team.
Working hard, wearing all hats, Chris is proud that his small family business can supply key industries at such a time. He will continue to run the business alone until a time when staff can return to work. He also hopes more local builders and tradespeople will choose a local supplier for their fixings in the future.
Arun Fastener Company Ltd are suppliers of metric and imperial fasteners on the south coast. They offer a huge range at great prices. In addition to providing common variants, they also supply British and American threads, including High Grade and metric fine.
